Still in May, I and fam visited and explored Way Kambas National Park by staying at Satwa Elephant Ecolodge. This May finally I and fam went to Baluran National Park, stayed at Baluran Ecolodge. Here is my Tripadvisor review of it: Baluran National Park was already in my agenda since 3 years ago. This April I can managed my business trip to Surabaya so after that I can go to Baluran even the schedule was very tight & exhausting.  So  many aspects that we must learn to survive in this life. But basically we need to learn some certain aspects. It's a minimum requirement, but of course better if we can learn more. We can see a life as a journey, or as a school to be a better person every day. That's why I chose see it as a "University of Life". In university we have options or freedom to choose our subjects, and we must smart to choose kinds of subjects according to our target in working life in the future.  The subjects that we will take in the university will support us to succeed in the future. Meanwhile the score grade in university usually starts from A to E, which A as the highest score.  It also happens in the working life, where companies usually use the same range of score (A-E) for performance appraisal. In fact a success in real life as a human have no range of score. It's very relative. But we can adapt the A-E range of score to make us easy to assess ...

Today I came home to my hometown. Hungry & thirsty then I chose to visit Spiegel Bar & Bistro, Semarang, Central Java.  Curious to see this abandon building that suddenly became a beautiful one. This is a beautiful old building that was Build by Dutch in 1895. It was renovated last year became a cozy & beautiful restaurant. Gosh finally they did something in this old town, my hometown. My Tripadvisor review of Spiegel Bar & Bistro @wulan_dewi_sunu Old town of Semarang has some hidden beauty authentic "treasure". Nice to see some buildings were renovated, and there is also a small nice shop call "Outstadt". Just hoping Semarang will continue this awaking program of the old town. It's not a beautiful photo that I usually posted, but for me it's a touch one. This old man is one of people who live above the Kahayang river. Not by the river but above it. Have no money & space to build bathroom doesn't hamper this old man to take a bath in this very limited space using dirty river water. Of course it's not ideal from the hygienec perspective, but I saw a strong motivation from his eye when I passed him several times using my boat. A motivation to survive, to do a normal life in the middle of abnormal environment. Words by JW. Whatever we use as the personal brand, we need it to make people know to us. But please don't use the same strategy with Superman 😁 Talking about the personal brand, it's not always about physical. In fact it will be more powerful as a character, attitude, personality etc. Why? December 18, 2013 until January 2014, we had a very very exciting Tour de Java. We visited 7 cities in 17 days! I am too lazy to rewrite it, so this is a link about it in my host son's blog. Four of us was happy, exciting, amaze, speechless and ......tired! Ratu Boko Palace ....I never bored to visit here. Feel like my own home? Ha ha Borobudur ....love it when it's empty, no crowd of people. Gosh... Bromo and surrounding ...so beatiful and cooooooold! Yogya, the real never ending story for me.... It's not because of us. It's all because of them. Yeaaaah we guide them. Yes, we coach them. Yup we gave them the capital. But it won't be nothing without them. Without their great talent. Without their willingness. Without their strong effort. Our eldest daughter, Avanti Sukmalanu was able to pass the very tight competition to go to Italy in AFS Program for 1 year. Because she had so great portfolio as an artist. It wasn't because we are psychologist who knew the tricks of the selection. Nope! Avanti is able to study in UK, now. Because she got 2 years full scholarship for college before went to UK. It's not because we are rich so we can send her to UK. Nope! Our youngest son, Bima Anggara was able to be the first rank of candidate who will be send to Europe in AFS Program. Because he had so wonderful portfolio as a performer and public speaker. It wasn't because of his sister is a returnee or because of us. Nope...

Starting from August 26, 2013, my family has a new member :). A Germany boy named Benjamin Skorupa came to stay at our house until July 2014. Ben came with AFS Exchange Program. It will be an exciting journey for my fam and also Ben. Hope everything will running well.
